Bison Open Conference Play in Durant

SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist baseball team is set to Open Great American Conference play in Durant, as they take on Southeastern Oklahoma State. The series is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 15-16. The Bison will then cap off the weekend with a single nine-inning match with Northeastern State on Monday, Feb. 17.
 
The Bison enter the weekend with a 4-2 record. The Bison went 2-1 at the Henderson State Invitational defeating Newman and the University of Central Oklahoma. Kaimana Bartolome leads the star-studded Bison offense with a .444 batting average, eight runs, 11 RBIs, and 12 hits on the season. Ramon Enriquez has also posted eight runs. Eric Carlson, Colin Prince, and Bartolome all have two home runs on the season.
 
The Savage Storm have a 5-3 season record and is coming into the series with a two-game win streak. Buckner Colin leads Southeastern's offense posting a .571 batting average, five runs, five RBIs, and 12 hits.
 
The Riverhawks are currently 2-4 and will enter the contest with the Bison having lost to Southwestern Oklahoma State. Chaz Orr leads the Riverhawks offense with a .455 batting average, three runs, seven RBIs, and 10 hits.
 
First pitch with Southeastern is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday.
