SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist women's basketball team opened the week's action falling to Southern Nazarene, 76-61, Thursday night at the Noble Complex. The Bison battled hard but were not able to keep up with the Crimson Storm's offensive attack.
OBU shot 19-52 (36.5%) from the field and went 5-10 (50%) from behind the arc.
Charissa Price led the scoring for the Bison putting up a season best 17 points, including a perfect 3-3 mark from behind the arc.
Jaylin Stapleton came in second with 12 points, and also posted a steal and three rebounds.
Ugochinyere Nwarie rounded out the top three for the Bison with 10 points. Mikayala Shulanberger and
McKenzie Cooper led the team in rebounds with four apiece.
The Crimson Storm's offense got off to a fast start and led the entire game. The Bison went on a small run to start the second half to bring the deficit back with in 10, but SNU answered back and never allowed the Bison back within single digits.
OBU will welcome in East Central this Saturday, Feb. 15, with tip off set for 1 p.m.
