BETHANY, Okla. – The Oklahoma Baptist women's basketball team fell to Southern Nazarene in the first of a four-game road trip, 65-50, Thursday night.

McKenzie Cooper led the way for the Bison, putting up 17 points and shooting 3 of 4 from behind the arc.
Jaylin Stapleton returned to action scoring 10 points and leading the way with six rebounds.
Charissa Price finished the evening with a team-leading three blocks and three steals.

The Bison came out of the gate strong, leading the Crimson Storm through the first quarter, 16-13. However, SNU rallied back in the second quarter to take an eight-point halftime lead.

After a huge 15-0 run from SNU in the third, the Bison were able to rally back at the beginning of the fourth quarter and brought the margin back within 10. Cooper led the charge for the Bison putting up nine points in that stretch. The Crimson Storm answered the Bison rally with one of their own, going on a 9-2 run to seal the victory.

Up next OBU is set to face Northwestern Oklahoma State this Saturday in Alva. Tipoff for the contest is set for 1 p.m. at the Percefull Fieldhouse.
