SHAWNEE - The Oklahoma Baptist women's golf team shot the high round of the day with a 308 (+20) on Tuesday afternoon to finished with a two-round score of 620 (+44) and a second place finish at the Oklahoma Baptist Fall Invitational at Shawnee Country Club.
The Bison had five total golfers finish in the top 10 including three in the top five.
Shelby Phillips,
Josie Patterson, and
Hayden Meiser all finished with scores of 154 (+10) to finish even. Meiser had a terrific afternoon and had the low round of the day with a 73 (+1). Phillips was right behind her with 74 (+2) while Patterson dropped a few spots with an 81 (+9).
Michelle Carr shot an 81 (+9) for a two-round score of 159 (+15) to place 15th in the event for a ninth place finish while
Elly Baze rounded ou the A team with an 80 (+8) and a two round score of 168 (+24).
On the B side,
Olivia Klefsaas had a solid outing with a 79 (+7) for a 159 (+15) and a top 10 finish.
Kailee McCrary shot an 87 (+15) for a two-round score of 168 (+24) while
Grace Johnson had an 86 (+14) for a two-round score of 175 (+31).
Shelby Palmour shot an 89 (+17) for a two-round score of 178 (+34) while
Abby Boren shot a 98 (+26) for a two-round score of 195 (+51).
Redlands won the event with a two-round score of 616 (+42) while Arkansas-Monticello was third with a 654 (+78). The OBU B team placed fourth at 680 (+104) while Oklahoma Panhandle State finished fifth with a score of 749 (+173). Leah Rowe won the event with a two-day score of 151 (+7) including a 74 on Tuesday.
OBU returns to action on Monday as they head to Edmond to compete in the RCB-UCO Classic at The Golf Club of Edmond.
