SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist will send five athletes and a relay team to the 2019 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Senior
Hayden Ashley qualified for the championship meet in the men's decathlon. He will be joined by teammate
Brandon Crowley, who will run the 110 meter hurdles.

The Lady Bison 4x400 relay team of
JoziRose Mayfield,
McKae Mitchell,
Sherine Van Der Westhuizen, and
Cameka Witter will be seeded ninth with a top time of 3:43.31. This marks the second consecutive year that OBU has advanced to the national meet in the 4x400. Last year's relay team finished sixth overall.

Mitchell and Witter also qualified to compete in the women's 400. Senior
Leah Molter will run both the 100 hurdles and 400 hurdles.

The 2019 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships will be held May 23-25 in Kingsville, Texas, at Javelina Stadium. Texas A&M University-Kingsville will serve as the host of the championships. The championships will be streamed live onÂ
