SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist track and field athletes were spread out across the country this weekend as they competed at three separate twilight meets in preparation for the NCAA postseason.

Competing in the decathlon at the Azusa Pacific Twilight meet Thursday and Friday,
Hayden Ashley took third place with a total of 6,538. Ashley finished second in the long jump (6.79m) and high jump (1.94m) and was the top performer in the 1,500, finishing with a time of 4:34.28.
Andrew Worley was sixth overall with a score of 5,781.

In Emporia, Kansas, the OBU men's 4x400 relay team posted a Division II provisional qualifying time of 3:12.25 to finish in second place.

The men's 4x100 team finished second at 41.33, and
Brandon Crowley was fourth in the men's 110 hurdles at 14.75.

At the Occidental Invitational in Los Angeles,
Leah Molter recorded a DII provisional time of 1:00.66 in the 400 hurdles and finished 10
th in the women's 100 hurdles, just 0.01 seconds off her best time of the year.

In the men's steeplechase,
Nathan Crowson posted a PR and DII provisional time with a 9:08.77, and
Allison Derry ran a personal-best 4:36.04 in the women's 1,500.

OBU will compete next at the 2019 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships beginning Thursday, May 23, in Kingsville, Texas.
