SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist baseball team fell to Arkansas-Monticello, 10-8, in the final game of their weekend series on Saturday.

OBU jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning as
Kaimana Bartolome tripled to centerfield to drive in
Ramon Enriquez and
Jake Gozzo. UAM would answer back by driving in a run in the top of the third inning and another in the top of the fifth. The Weevils would then take the lead on a wild pitch, followed by a grand slam in the top of the seventh to make it 7-3.

The Bison rallied back to tie the game at 7-7 in the eighth inning, but were unable to close the gap, as the Weevils would drive in three runs in the ninth inning to seal the game.

OBU returns to Bison Field at Ford Park on Tuesday to take on Oklahoma Christian in a non-conference matchup at 6 p.m.
