OBU Runners Set Personal Bests at Drake

DES MOINES, Iowa – Several members of the OBU men's and women's track teams set personal bests at the 110th Drake Relays presented by Hy-Vee Thursday.
 
Highlights from the first day included Tesa Potter posting a 2:12.46 in the women's 800, the top time for a Lady Bison in the event this season and a career record.
 
Kaylee Large Crowson, coming off Great American Conference titles in both the 5,000 and 10,000, beat her best time in the 5,000 by 15 seconds with a mark of 17:05.20.
 

 
A pair of OBU runners also set personal bests in the 1500. On the women's side, Allison Derry posted a 4:37.95, improving on her time from the John McDonnell Invitational and setting a new program mark for the 2019 season.
 
In the men's race, GAC 1,500 champion Nathan Crowson topped his title-winning mark with a 3:54.38 to set a personal best.
 
Competition continues Friday and Saturday at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
