Run-Rule Win for Bison in Tahlequah

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – For the second straight game the OBU offense pounded out 16 runs as the Bison run-ruled Northeastern State in a non-conference matchup.

After scoring one in the opening frame, the OBU bats exploded in the second, plating six runs on RBI doubles by PJ Harris, Eric Carlson, and Kaimana Bartolome.

The Bison added to their lead in each subsequent inning, scoring at least one run each time they came to bat before the game was called after seven innings with OBU ahead 16-0.

Ramon Enriquez and Jake Gozzo both homered for the Bison as they joined Harris, Carlson, and Joey Pledger in collecting multiple RBI.

Three OBU pitchers – Caleb Bly, Andrew Eppenbach, and Thomas Shroder – combined for the four hit shutout of the RiverHawks.

OBU returns to Bison Field at Ford Park to take on East Central in a three-game weekend series. Game one is set for 6 p.m. Friday evening, followed by a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Bison senior class will be honored in a ceremony prior to Saturday's opener.
