SHAWNEE – The OBU baseball team continued its dominance over East Central, run-ruling the visiting Tigers 12-1 to open a three-game Great American Conference series Friday at Bison Field at Ford Park.

With the win, OBU moves to 4-0 against ECU on the season, outscoring their rivals from Ada by a combined score of 49-8.
Jake Gozzo and
Garrett McKee both homered for the Bison as the home team plated at least two runs in every inning but the second. McKee finished 2-3 with two RBI, while
PJ Harris (2-3, 2 RBI) and
Brett Bloomfield (1-4, 2 RBI) also drove in multiple runs in the rout.

AJ Merkel scattered five hits and struck out eight in the complete game victory.

The Bison and Tigers wrap up their series tomorrow with a Senior Day doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. OBU's senior class will be honored on the field prior to first pitch.
