FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Members of the Oklahoma Baptist track teams turned in strong performances at a pair of meets which concluded late Friday. A handful of OBU athletes participated in the KT Woodman Classic hosted by Wichita State University, while the majority of the team headed to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for the John McDonnell Invitational.

Against a competitive field of Division II and Division I programs, highlights from Fayetteville included
Leah Molter and
JoziRose Mayfield going two-three in the women's 400 hurdles with times of 1:01.57 and 1:01.95, respectively. Molter also finished fourth in women's 100 hurdles (14.00).

Nathaniel Worley won the men's high jump competition with a best of 1.96m, while
Julianna Horner was fourth in the women's shot put with a throw of 12.94m.
Hayden Ashley won the men's javelin with a throw of 51.35m and finished second in men's long jump at 6.88m, while tying for fourth in the pole vault (4.50m).
Evelyn Carswell was third in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.63m.

Noah Eskew third in the men's 3000 at 8:43.20, and
Brandon Crowley finished fourth in men's 110 hurdles behind a trio of Razorbacks with a time of 14.40.
Eric Van der Walt,
Andrew Worley and
Cayden Spain finished in the sixth through eighth spots.

Shirvante Knauls was sixth in the men's 400 (47.46), while
Cameka Witter was sixth in the women's race with a time of 54.13, just ahead of teammate
McKae Mitchell who finished seventh at 54.37.
Tesa Potter finished seventh in the women's 800 (2:14.05) and
Devontrae Young was eighth in the men's 200 (21.41).

Logan Huslig came in fifth in the men's 400 hurdles (54.90). The men's 4x400 relay was fourth (3:16.90), while the women finished fifth (3:43.31).

OBU's men's 4x100 relay finished third at 41.17, just 0.17 seconds behind Oklahoma State, while the women's 4x100 was seventh at 47.16.

A handful of OBU athletes competed simultaneously at the KT Woodman Classic hosted by Wichita State.

Berkley Price was second in the women's steeplechase with a time of 11:42.07, and
Allison Derry finished third in the women's 1500 at 4:43.54.
Kaylee Large Crowson came in third in the women's 5000 (17:20.05).

Blake Rayner (1:59.86) and
Joshua Baker (2:04.73) also competed in the men's 800.

OBU will host the 2019 Great American Conference Outdoor Championships, April 18-20, at the Eddie Hurt Jr. Memorial Track Complex in Shawnee.
