SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist will again test itself against nearby rival East Central on the baseball diamond as the two neighboring schools meet for a single, nine-inning game Tuesday in Ada. The Bison enter with a 17-11 record while the Tigers are 3-26 and losers of their last 11.
The teams have already met twice this year with OBU winning comfortably by scores of 11-1 and 12-3. The game is the third and last non-conference meeting between the two teams with the three-game Great American Conference series set to begin April 19 in Shawnee.

Brett Bloomfield and
Eric Carlson feasted on ECU pitching in the previous two games. Bloomfield hit .714 (five-for-seven) with a triple and three RBI's while Carlson hit .625 (five-for-eight) with two doubles and four RBIs.
The Bison are expected to throw a number of different pitchers against ECU with no starter yet determined. OBU has lowered its team ERA to 5.16 over the last few weeks and ranks third in the conference with 191 strikeouts.
