AZTEC, N.M. – Oklahoma Baptist suffered a 16-6 loss to Fort Lewis College in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action on Monday afternoon at the Tigers Sports Complex in Aztec, New Mexico.

The offense broke a scoreless draught spanning over 82 minutes when
Taylor Skomp drew OBU level at 1-1 at the 28:44 mark in the first half.
Madison Gordon and
Lauren McCormack also found the back of the net in the opening 30 minutes of play, with Gordon's goal coming off an assist by McCormack.

The second started on a high note for OBU as McCormack took the opening draw straight through the heart of the Skyhawks' defense before sending her shot to the upper right corner.
Shay Morgan scored a goal off a feed from
Nina Handley, Handley's first career point as a Lady Bison, and McCormack scored one more.

"We've definitely shown growth over the last three RMAC games," said OBU head coach
Jordan Beech. "If we iron out our shot selection and cut out the unnecessary yellow cards, we'll take the next step towards where we want to be."

McCormack finished with a team-high four points on three goals and one assist. She also led the team with nine draw controls.
Courtney Barnickle collected 12 saves and a game-high six ground balls.

Oklahoma Baptist (2-4, 0-3 RMAC) wraps up their tour of the Rockies on Thursday, March 21 at 6 p.m. Central when they take on Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah.
