Jordan Beech

Jordan Beech enters his fourth season at the helm of the Oklahoma Baptist Women’s Lacrosse team as the program's all-time winningest head coach after taking over the program on December 7, 2015.

OBU matched their Division II era record for wins with five in 2019, while setting the program's single-season record in draw controls. Lauren McCormack finished the season as the Division II statistical champion in draw controls per game (11.46) under Beech's tutelage.

The Lady Bison won a Division II era record five games in 2018, while producing the program's first 20 goal and 20 assist scorer in McCormack. Oklahoma Baptist also set 12 single season team and individual records. 

Oklahoma Baptist posted a 4-10 mark in their first full season of Division II competition in Beech's second season, finishing eighth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference after collecting the program's first two wins over Division II opponents. The team led the country in caused turnovers per game (12.93).

In his first season in charge, Beech led the Lady Bison to a 4-7 record during the squad's transition from NAIA to the NCAA Division II level. His team set school records for free-position goals (20) and caused turnovers per game (11.8/game).

During his time at OBU, Beech has developed three Honorable Mention All-RMAC selections and 20 All-RMAC Academic honorees. He has also mentored 12 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll honorees, and the team has earned IWLCA Academic Honor Squad status in each season under Beech.

Since October 2016, Beech has served on the Communications Committee for the IWLCA where he is responsible for compiling the national coaches' poll and serving as an NCAA liaison. In 2019, he was appointed the Co-Chair of the committee.

Beech has worked tirelessly to help spread the sport of lacrosse in Oklahoma. Since 2017, he has served as the Technical Director and Head Coach for Red Dirt Lacrosse Club out of Tulsa.

He has also been active at the grassroots levels, helping to form two different high school boys’ lacrosse programs in central Oklahoma, while also assisting with youth clinics across the Oklahoma City area.

From 2013 to 2014 he led the Edmond Lacrosse Club boys' varsity program before coaching Deer Creek Lacrosse Club in its inaugural season in 2015. During his time working among the high school ranks, Beech attended multiple coaching clinics, and currently holds Level 2 Certification through US Lacrosse.

Beech played for both the Oklahoma State University and University of Oklahoma men’s lacrosse teams as part of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association during his undergraduate years as a defensive midfielder. 

A native of Edmond, Okla., Beech graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2013 with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting. He received his Masters of Education in Sports Management from Southwestern Oklahoma State in December 2015. He lives in Shawnee with his wife, Kim, and daughters, Addison and Lucy.
