CLEBURNE, Texas –
Jake Gozzo homered twice and
Hudson Pearson pitched six innings of solid relief but the Bison still came up short losing 10-7 by instate rival Oklahoma Christian. The two teams met as part of a multi-team tournament that is being held in Cleburne, Texas.
The Bison, who are now 2-2, play again Friday when they meet Newman (Kan.) in a single, nine-inning game beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Gozzo, who finished three-for-five, finished with four RBI's and three runs scored. He leads the team in home runs (3) and RBIs (12).

Pearson took over for starter A.J. Merkel who was lifted after allowing seven runs on seven hits in 1.1 innings. Pearson scattered five hits, allowed three runs and struck out one batter before
Matthew Wilson pitched the last inning.
