Softball Splits Pair with NWOSU

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist Softball team split a doubleheader with Northwestern Oklahoma State on Sunday. OBU won the second game 3-2 after losing the first 4-2.

In the bottom of the seventh inning of game two, OBU rallied three runs thanks in part to a fielding miscue by NWOSU. The game-winning run was scored by Shelby Savage on a fielders choice by Cheyenne Demaree.

The Lady Bison tied it 2-2 on a run scored by Kristen Grabin, off of a base hit from Franki Hull.

Grace Van Horn got the win as she allowed seven hits to improve her record to 3-1 on the season.

OBU lost the opener 4-2 as NWOSU scored two runs at its final at bat. OBU's offensive highlight was a solo home run by Hull in the fourth inning.

The same two teams conclude the four game series in a doubleheader Monday beginning at 2 p.m.
