SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist University women's basketball team claimed its first victory of the season Tuesday night at the Noble Complex. OBU dominated Ozark Christian, 92-42.

The Bison outscored the Ambassadors in every quarter, with the biggest scoring margin coming in the third quarter as OBU outscored the visitors by 23 points.

Three Bison all ended in double digits in the scoring column.
McKenzie Cooper and
Mikayla Shulanberger both led the team with 19 points apiece, while
Kalifa Ford added 17 points and also led the team in rebounds with 13.

Jaylin Stapleton OBU the team with five assists to go along with eight points in the victory.

The defense for the Bison came out strong, forcing 30 Ambassador turnovers while accumulating a total of 37 defensive rebounds and 17 steals. Â

Up next for the Bison is a non-conference road contest against Rogers State this Saturday in Claremore, Oklahoma. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
