Bison Face HU in GAC Opener Thursday

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist opens the Great American Conference season in men's soccer with a home match Thursday at 7:30 p.m. against Harding.
 
The Bison are 1-7 after a loss to No. 8 Northeastern State Tuesday night. It was the second top 10 opponent OBU has faced in as many matches.
 
Alejandro Castillo leads OBU with five points on two goals and an assist. Jesus Andrade also has two goals this season. Parker Lawter has 37 saves in goal this season.
 
Harding is 4-1-1 after a 3-2 loss at Lindenwood Sunday.
 
Jack Savage leads HU with three goals and four assists for 10 points, while Jason Diaz and Julio Martins have logged two goals each. Michael Wasson has been in goal every second of the season for Harding and has a 1.12 goals-against average and 30 saves in six starts.
