WICHITA, Kan. – The OBU men's soccer team was just edged out in an overtime thriller with Newman, 4-3, Thursday night. This was the second time the Bison have gone to overtime against the Jets this season as the teams forged a 3-3 tie in their previous meeting in Shawnee on Oct. 12.

Thursday night's game took a very similar path as the first matchup. The Jets took a 3-0 lead before the Bison rallied all the way back in the second half with three goals of their own.

Bruno Feirrera opened up the scoring for the Bison with an early second half goal.
Luis Romero then followed up Feirrera's goal five minutes later.

Feirrera now has four goals on the season, tied with Costa Peterson for third on the team. Romero scored his sixth, which ties him with
Dominic Gibson for second.

Alejandro Castillo then scored the game-tying goal in the 81
st minute, adding to his team-leading numbers with nine goals on the season.

Up next for the Bison is a home match Saturday night against Fort Hays State to close out the season. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at the OBU Soccer Complex.
