HAYS, Kan. – Alejandro Castillo was Oklahoma Baptist's lone representative on the All-Great American Conference/Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association teams, taking home second-team honors. The awards were announced Thursday night at a banquet in Hays, Kansas, the site of the 2019 GAC/MIAA Tournament.
Castillo, hailing from Peralta, Spain, led the Bison with eight goals and four assists this season for a total of 20 points. The midfielder went 5-of-6 from the penalty spot and boasted a .205 shooting percentage. A senior, this is the second-straight season for Castillo to be named to the All-GAC/MIAA second team, and the third consecutive season for him to make the all-conference lists overall.
