SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist kicks off the 2018 season Thursday with a neutral site contest against Bemidji State on the campus of Minot State in Minot, North Dakota.

The Lady Bison are coming off a 15-2-3 season with every starter returning. OBU averaged 2.20 goals per match while limiting opponents to a meager 0.95 average. Late-game dominance was a key to victory all season, as the Lady Bison owned a 26-9 goal advantage after halftime.

Junior
Ruth King returns for her junior season after leading the team with 13 goals and seven assists.
Hannah White scored seven goals and picked up four assists last year and
Emmily Infante had four goals and five assists.

Jennifer Goethe anchors a defense that allowed only 8.6 shots per match in 2017.
Lara Haring-Lovett and
Kelsey Bumgarner return as outside backs for a defense that allowed a .110 shot percentage.

Redshirt-sophomore
Emily Griffith returns between the sticks after registering nine shutouts on a .759 save percentage to go with a 0.91 goals-allowed average.

The Beavers are also opening their season after a 15-1-4 record in 2017. They averaged 2.25 goals on a .143 shot percentage and allowed 0.50 goals per match to opponents. Forward Rachael Norton paced the team with 14 goals and 10 assists.
