SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist men's soccer opens up the 2018 schedule on Thursday when they host Adams State at the OBU Soccer Complex.

Admission is free to all spectators for the 5 p.m. kickoff on Bison Hill.

The Bison finished 7-9-1 last season, scoring 2.00 goals while giving up 1.94 goals. A new 3-5-2 formation and several newcomers will also make their debut on Bison Hill.

Alejandro Castillo is the leading returning goal scorer after netting four goals in 2017.
Jesus Andrade returns for his senior season after scoring two goals and picking up one assist.

Other than the midfield, OBU is expected to feature new players at every position. The back line consists of three transfers in
Abdoulaye Bah,
Dave Brown and Ítalo Vichiatto. Freshmen
Bruno Feirrera and
JuAn Kim are slotted to start as forwards.

Goalkeeper
Parker Lawter returns in the net for the Bison after starting 10 matches last season. He finished with a 1.88 goals-allowed average on a .627 save percentage.

The Grizzlies will also open up their season following a 7-10-1 campaign in 2017. ASU averaged 1.06 goals while the opposition scored 1.39 goals per match. Junior Ruben Molinar is the leading returner with two goals and two assists last season.
