Lady Bison Open with Victory

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Oklahoma Baptist opened the season with a three-set win over Midwestern State with three sets of 25-17.
 
Malia Leatherland registered 11 kills with Mikayla Watson adding nine and the Lady Bison kept the Mustangs attack percentage down to .074.
 
Jenna Gremmel had 26 assists and Rachel Richie had three of OBU's six service aces.
 
Defensively, OBU had four blocks with Nicole Fleitman and Gremmel getting two block assists each. Watson led OBU with eight digs.
 
OBU finishes day one of the Tarleton Invitational with a 3 p.m. match against Southwest Baptist.
