2018 Men's Soccer Schedule Revealed

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist will open up the fall at home against Adams State on Aug. 30, according to the 2018 men's soccer schedule revealed Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Bison finished 7-9-1 last season and were 3-3 in Great American Conference play. OBU had a 3-4 record at home, 3-3-1 mark on the road and finished 1-2 in neutral site contests.
 
Three of the first four matches in 2018 will take place at the OBU Soccer Complex in Shawnee. The home opener is set for a 5 p.m. kick off against non-conference opponent Adams State. OBU will then travel to Portales, New Mexico, to face Eastern New Mexico on Sept. 1 at 2 p.m. Central.
 
Oklahoma Christian travels to Shawnee on Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m. and the Bison will host Midwestern State on Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. before heading off for three straight matches away from home.
 
Following a road tilt against Oklahoma City University on Sept. 10 at 7:30 p.m., the Bison will head to Bismarck, North Dakota, to play two neutral site matches at the University of Mary. OBU will face Montana State University Billings on Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. and Simon Fraser (B.C.) on Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.
 
OBU returns to Bison Hill to host Northeastern State on Sept. 18 at 5:30 p.m., the first of five consecutive home matches.
 
GAC play begins at the OBU Soccer Complex against Harding on Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m. The Bison will continue conference play against Ouachita Baptist on Sept. 22 at 3 p.m.
 
After a non-conference match with Fort Hays State on Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m., the Bison will play their final home match of the regular season on Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. OBU is set to face GAC rival Southern Nazarene on Senior Night.
 
The final six contests of the season will all be played on the road, beginning with an Arkansas road trip. OBU will battle Harding on Oct. 11 at 3 p.m. in Searcy, Arkansas, and Ouachita Baptist at 1 p.m. on Oct. 13. Conference play wraps up for the Bison on Oct. 16 with an 8 p.m. match against Southern Nazarene in Bethany.
 
A final out-of-state road trip is scheduled to begin at Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Missouri, on Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m., and end on Oct. 20 in a noon showdown with Upper Iowa in Fayette, Iowa. OBU will wrap up the regular season in Tahlequah when they face Northeastern State on Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m.
