Fadel Earns Great American Conference Honor

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist sophomore Saleem Fadel was named the Great American Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
 
Fadel, a native of Doha, Qatar, won the hammer throw at the OBU Invitational last weekend. His throw of 195' 6.5" (59.60 meters) met the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark and was the eighth-best throw in the country.
 
He is the first Bison athlete to win the GAC award in 2018.
