Abby Hoover and
Julianna Horner set Great American Conference records Friday and Oklahoma Baptist is second as a team after two days at the GAC Track & Field Championships.

The Lady Bison have won two events and scored 47 points with one day remaining at Mulerider Track and Field Complex. Harding leads with 52 points and Southern Arkansas is third at 23 points.

OBU swept the top two spots in the final event of the night, the 10,000-meter run. Hoover won the event in a GAC record time of 37:18.72 and
Sydney Lawrence finished second in 37:24.93.

Julianna Horner won the hammer throw with a GAC record distance of 156' 8.3" (47.76m).

Raigan Servati finished fourth in the heptathlon with 3816 points.

Allison Derry picked up eight points for a second place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:36.35.

Brittany Poe finished fourth in the discus throw at 128' 3.8" (39.11m) and Horner was fifth at 123' 7.1" (37.67m).

Due to darkness, the javelin throw was postponed until Saturday at 9 a.m. Field events are scheduled to resume at 10 a.m. with running events set for a noon start.
