SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist will compete at the Great American Conference Track & Field Championships, hosted by Southern Arkansas, beginning Thursday at the Mulerider Track and Field Complex in Magnolia, Arkansas.

This will mark the first GAC postseason track meet for OBU since the university completed the transition to NCAA Division II. The Lady Bison have competed in the meet the last two seasons but were unable to count their scores due to their provisional status in the conference.

Competition will last from Thursday through Saturday, beginning with four heptathlon events on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Friday opens with the conclusion of the heptathlon at 10 a.m. and field events will begin at 1:30 p.m. The distance races will close the day at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Saturday's schedule includes field events starting at 10 a.m. and running events at noon.

The Lady Bison have collected 18 event wins and numerous top-10 finishes in three outdoor meets this spring.

McKae Mitchell owns the 25
th-fastest time in the NCAA for the 400-meter run in 56.22 seconds.
Leah Molter ranks No. 32 in the 400-meter hurdles (1:02.63) and is ranked No. 36 in the 100-meter hurdles (14.39).
Abby Hoover has the 27
th-fastest 5000-meter run with a time of 17:14.94.
