Zane Gelphman hit his Great American Conference-leading 15
th home run in Oklahoma Baptist's 13-1 win over East Central at Bison Field at Ford Park Tuesday.

OBU scored eight runs in the second and five in the fifth for the mercy rule win and a 5-0 sweep of the season series with the Tigers.

In the second inning,
Josh Timms singled, stole second and scored on a double by
Jake Gozzo to open the scoring.
PJ Harris added a two-run home run.
Juan Gonzalez added a two-run single and Gelphman punctuated the rally with the three-run home run.

ECU scored once in the fourth, but the Bison added their five in the fifth. Timms singled and scored this time on a triple by Gozzo. Harris plated Gozzo with a single and after a double by
Matt Poulin,
Brett Berghammer singled in two runs. Gelphman added a sacrifice fly for the final run.

OBU had 15 hits in the game. Harris had three of those with Berghammer, Timms and Gozzo adding two apiece.

Andrew Eppenbach pitched three scoreless to get the win while
Chris Kovach threw two shutout innings to close the game out.

The Bison get back to action Friday, starting a three-game weekend series at Southeastern Oklahoma State in Durant. The scheduled start is Friday at 2 p.m.
