SHAWNEE – 
Jake Gozzo extended his hitting streak to 14 games in Oklahoma Baptist's 14-4, 10-inning loss at the hands of Arkansas-Fort Smith Tuesday.
 
Gozzo singled in his final at bat to extend the streak and tie 
Josh Timms' NCAA-era school record with a hit in his 14
th consecutive game.
 
OBU scored two in the first inning on a two-run home run by 
Zane Gelphman – his 11
th home run of the season.
 
The Bison went up 4-0 in the second when 
Garrett McKee hit a two-run home run.
 
OBU had nine hits in the game, including two each by 
Juan Gonzalez and 
PJ Harris.
 
Andrew Eppenbach took the loss.
 
OBU returns to action this weekend, hosting East Central in a Great American Conference series. The three-game set starts with a 6 p.m. game Friday night and concludes with a 1 p.m. twin bill Saturday.
