SEARCY, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist lost its opener at Harding 5-4 on a walk-off walk Friday.

OBU took an early 1-0 lead in the second when
Josh Timms doubled and later scored on a sacrifice fly by
Jake Gozzo.

Harding took a 2-1 lead with two unearned runs in the third and stole home in the fifth for a 3-1 lead.

OBU tied it in the sixth.
Juan Gonzalez singled, Gozzo doubled and Brandon McKee delivered a two-run single for a 3-3 game.

HU took a 4-3 lead in the seventh but OBU tied in the ninth when
Brock Carter scored on a wild pitch with two outs.

Nick Burnham took the loss.

OBU had eighth hits, including two apiece by
Brett Bloomfield, Gonzalez and Gozzo.

The teams meet again Saturday in a noon doubleheader.
