SEARCY, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist split two games at Harding Saturday, winning 3-0 in the opener before falling 6-0 in the finale.

Mychal Yarbor (3-2) went the distance for the three-hit shutout, striking out eight against one walk.

The Bison scored all the runs they needed in the first inning when
Brett Berghammer singled ahead of a two-run home run by
Zane Gelphman.

OBU added its final run in the second inning when
Matt Poulin was hit by a pitch, took second on a single by
Garrett McKee and scored on a base hit by Berghammer.

The Bison had nine hits in the game, led by Berghammer with four.

OBU was shut out for the first time since April 2, 2016, a streak of 105 games.

The Bison had five hits in the loss, including two by Juan Gonzales.

Now 16-9 overall and 9-6 in the Great American Conference, the Bison host Northeastern State at 5 p.m. Monday to start an eight-game home stand.
