Lady Bison Picked Second in GAC Poll

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist women's outdoor track and field is picked to finish second in the Great American Conference, according to the preseason poll released Thursday by the conference office.
 
The Lady Bison had 44 points in the poll, including three first place votes. This will be the first season that OBU is eligible to compete for the GAC Championship as full members of NCAA Division II.
 
Harding is picked first with 47 points and received the remaining five first place votes. Southern Arkansas was selected third with 36 points, Oklahoma Christian is fourth with 33 points and Rogers State earned 25 points in the poll for fifth. Southern Nazarene (18 points), East Central (11) and Southwestern Oklahoma State (10) rounded out the preseason standings.
 
OBU began the outdoor season by hosting the OBU Early Outdoor Invitational Thursday at Hurt Memorial Track.
