Lady Bison Relay Team Finishes Sixth

PITTSBURG, Kan. – (Final Results) Oklahoma Baptist finished sixth in the 4x400-meter relay Saturday in the final event of the NCAA Division II Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships.
 
A team of McKae Mitchell, JoziRose Mayfield, Sherine Van Der Westhuizen and Kya Barnes finished in 3:45.94 at the Robert W. Plaster Center on the campus of Pittsburg State. Grand Valley State won the event with a time of 3:40.34.
 
The Lady Bison qualified in two events in the first year of eligibility for the program. Abby Hoover finished 15^th Friday in the 5000-meter run in 17:46.99.
 
Oklahoma Baptist will kick off the outdoor season on March 15 when they host the OBU Early Outdoor Invitational.
