MONTICELLO, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist scored four times in the top of the ninth to take a 7-6 win and the series at Arkansas-Monticello Saturday.

Brett Bloomfield homered to give OBU a 1-0 lead in the third but the Weevils scored the next four runs for a 4-1 lead.

Zane Gelphman doubled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Gozzo in the sixth to make it 4-2. Gelphman doubled again in the eighth and scored on a base hit by
PJ Harris.

The Bison trailed 6-3 heading to the ninth.

Brock Carter walked and
Brett Berghammer was hit by a pitch to start the ninth. Gelphman drew a one-out walk to load the bases.
Josh Timms drew a bases-loaded walk and Berghammer scored on a two-out wild pitch to cut UAM's lead to 6-5.

Gozzo then singled in two runs for a 7-6 OBU lead.

Monticello loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth by
Nick Burnham (1-0) got out the of the jam for the win.

OBU had seven hits with Gelphman and Gozzo getting two apiece.

Now 14-7 overall and 8-4 in the Great American Conference, plays a non-conference game at East Central Tuesday at 2 p.m.
