SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist takes on Henderson State in its Great American Conference opener Sunday and Monday in Arkansas.
 
The Lady Bison are 3-5 on the season, going 0-1 on the road and 3-4 on neutral fields, including a 3-1 win over Midwestern State, which is third nationally with 17 home runs.
 
OBU is hitting .277 as a team, led by Dani Manning with a .500 batting average and Bry Flanagan with six RBIs.  Amanda Peterson (1-0, 0.00 earned run average) and Katie Long (2-1, 1.58) lead the pitching staff.
 
Henderson State enters at 8-3 on the season with a team batting average of .329, led by Madie Green, hitting .275 with 12 RBI. The Reddies have a 3.75 team earned run average, led by Kaitlyn Felder at 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA and Michelle Sorensen (3-1, 1.90).
