WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The Bison put on a dominant showing on the road, taking down Southwestern Oklahoma State, 87-74, for their third win in four games. As a result of the win, Oklahoma Baptist moves to 3-1 in Great American Conference action this year to continue their best start to league play since joining the GAC during the 2015-16 season.
 
Davion Turner was dialed in from long range, hitting 5-of-7 3-point attempts for the afternoon to set a new career high with 27 points. He finished with a game-high 13 rebounds as well to put the finishing touches on his first career double-double.
 
After weathering a 7-0 run by the Bulldogs midway through the first half, OBU worked their way back into the game. 
Antonio Wade drew the Bison even off a jumper in the paint with 4:03 left in the half, and OBU led the rest of the way.
 
In the second half, Oklahoma Baptist opened up on a 13-0 run. SWOSU chipped away, making it a three-point game, 75-72, with 2:16 left in the game. However, OBU outscored the Bulldogs 12-2 down the stretch to ice the game.
 
Turner led all players with 27, followed by Wade with 20 and four assists. Brantley Thompson also touched double figures with 13 points.
 
Oklahoma Baptist (4-4, 3-1 GAC) takes a break from GAC play as they get set to host Central Oklahoma on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. inside Mabee Arena at the Noble Complex.
