SHAWNEE – Despite a career performance from 
Dishon Lowery, Oklahoma Baptist suffered their first loss on their home court this season, 77-74, to Central Oklahoma. The loss moves OBU to 4-5 on the season heading into a six-day break for Christmas.
 
Lowery finished with 22 points and a team-high 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season. He went 9-of-13 from the field, and four of his 10 rebounds were on the offensive glass.
 
The Bison led by as many as eight in the first half, but saw their lead dwindle to two points at halftime, 37-35. Central Oklahoma continued to chip away at the Bison's advantage before gaining two-point lead on an and-1 play. Oklahoma Baptist managed to tie the game up at 58-58 and 60-60, but were unable to overcome the Bronchos down the stretch, missing two shots in the final 10 seconds to tie the game.
 
Oklahoma Baptist (4-5, 3-1 GAC) return to action on Monday, Dec. 31 when they take on Rogers State at 5 p.m. inside Mabee Arena at the Noble Complex.
