SHAWNEE – Led by point guard
Autumn Avina, the Lady Bison surged out of the halftime locker room to take control of the game en route to a 68-50 victory over Northeastern State Monday night at the Noble Complex.
The Riverhawks dominated early, but OBU was able to chip away at the NSU lead, trailing by a count of 39-30 at halftime. But the Lady Bison came out hot in the third quarter, outscoring the visitors from Tahlequah 23-6 in the third quarter to take a lead they would never relinquish.
Avina finished with a near triple-double, scoring 23 points to go along with 11 assists and seven rebounds.

Victoria Blankenship contributed double-figure scoring efforts with 12 points apiece.
After setting an NCAA-era program record with 10 steals against Manhattan Christian on Saturday,
Mikayla Shulanberger was disruptive on the defensive end once again for OBU, recording four steals against the RiverHawks
The Lady Bison return from Thanksgiving break with a Saturday matchup against Rogers State. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Noble Complex.
