OBU Sweeps Men's Soccer Honors

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptists' 2-1 week reaped a sweep of the Great American Conference weekly awards with Dominic Gibson being named Offensive Player of the Week, Dave Brown as Defensive Player of the Week and Bronson Wise as Goalkeeper of the Week.
 
Brown, a junior from Cardiff, Wales, anchored a back line that allowed teams an average of 14 shots over three road games last week.
 
Wise, a junior from Shawnee, started against Southern Nazarene and Upper Iowa, allowing three goals for a 1.50 goals-against average with eight saves.
 
Gibson, a sophomore midfielder from Fort Collins, Colorado, scored two goals last week – one goal each in wins over Southern Nazarene and Southwest Baptist.
 
The awards are the first honors since Jesus Andrade shared Offensive Player of the Week in Week 1, Sept. 4. They are the first award of the career for each of this week's recipients.
