SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist got a career-high 37 points from
McKenzie Cooper in a 96-87 loss to Arkansas Tech in the Noble Complex Thursday.

Cooper scored 23 of her points in the first half, including four three-pointers, while knocking down all seven of her free throw attempts. She finished 11 of 15 from the field, 6 of 9 from three-point land and 9 of 10 at the free throw line.

Cooper's total was the most points scored by a Lady Bison in OBU's NCAA era. The previous high was 32 by
Katy Custer.

OBU was undone by a 28-17 first quarter deficit, outscoring the Golden Suns from there, 70-68.

Joining Cooper in double figures in the scoring column were
Tasha Edge with 15 and
Autumn Avina and
Shaylan Coleman with 10 apiece.

Avina led OBU with six rebounds and six assists.

The Lady Bison return to action Saturday in a 1 p.m. home contest against Harding.
