SHAWNEE – Men's and women's indoor track and field return to competition Saturday when Oklahoma Baptist heads to Norman to compete in the UCO Invitational, hosted by the University of Central Oklahoma.

The one-day meet is set to begin Saturday morning at the Mosier Indoor Facility on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. Field events start at 11 a.m. with running events kicking off at 11:30 a.m.

This will be the first meet for the Lady Bison since winning the Shocker Prelude on Jan. 11. OBU finished over 15 points ahead of second place Friends at the meet hosted by Wichita State. Lady Bison runners met one provisional qualifying standard and took first place in three events.

OBU women have three top-15 times in NCAA Division II this season.
Leah Molter owns the 15
th fastest time in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.79 and
Abby Hoover is fifth in the 5000-meter run with a time of 16:54.81. A relay team of
McKae Mitchell,
Breanna Hurlbut,
JoziRose Mayfield and
Kya Barnes ran the sixth-fastest time in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:40.73.

Bison men finished runner-up at the Shocker Prelude, just one point behind Wichita State. OBU won two events and met a provisional standard at the event.
Dillon Phillips won the 400-meter run in 50.90 and
Sayvon Milton finished second in the event at 50.95.

Saleem Fadel owns the 17
th best distance in the weight throw this season after achieving a distance of 59' 10.5" (18.25 meters) at Wichita State, taking first place in the event.Â
