The Bison enter the game looking for its initial win of the season and the first against Southern Arkansas. The Muleriders won last year's game in Shawnee, 52-7.

The Bison feature a strong passing attack with two quarterbacks –
Dezmond Stegall and
Preston Haire – placing the Bison in the upper tier of passing yards this season.

Stephan Turner leads the Bison with 15 receptions, followed by
Cagney Roberson at 14,
Josh Pettijohn at 13 and
Alex Lewis with 12. Lewis leads the team with 240 yards receiving and 60 yards per game to go with his team-best 20 yards per reception. Fifteen different Bison have recorded a reception this season.

OBU's offensive line has been a success this season, allowing sacks in just one game. They will be put to the test Saturday.

The Muleriders have recorded a GAC-leading 12 sacks this season and lead the league with 81 yards in sacks. Defensive lineman Davondrick Lison has half of those sacks to lead the GAC with six. Lison has 10 total tackles for loss.

The running game is in the hands of
Darrian Moss, who will get his first start of the season after GAC-leading rusher
Isaiah Mallory left last week with an injury.

OBU's banged-up defense will have its hands full with the GAC's leading passer. Quarterback Barrett Renner leads the Great American Conference in passing with 259 yards per game and averages more than 38 attempts per game. He has completed a strong 64 percent of those passes but also has thrown eight interceptions. Tanner Hudson leads the Muleriders with 21 receptions and 219 yards.
