SHAWNEE – Hot off a Great American Conference-opening win, 2-0, over Ouachita Baptist, Oklahoma Baptist men's soccer heads to Searcy, Arkansas, to take on Harding in a rematch of last season's GAC Tournament Championship on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m.
 
Oklahoma Baptist (2-3-1, 1-0 GAC) snapped a three-match slide on Thursday and will be looking to string together back-to-back wins for the first time this season. Key to that will be an offense that's averaging 1.5 goals per match on 13 shots. A balanced offense, OBU has had six different Bison score this season, paced by 
Thiago Dos Santos with three to his name.
 
After picking up their first clean sheet of the year, the Bison's defensive front hopes to clamp down on Harding's offense that is averaging nearly 20 shots per match; OBU has allowed an average of only 12.7 shots through six matches. 
Parker Lawter holds a 1.92 goals-against average, second in the GAC, and ranks third with 3.5 saves per match.
 
Harding (2-3-2, 1-0 GAC) has won their last two contests by a combined score of 8-1, including a 5-1 win over Southern Nazarene in their conference opener. With an average of 1.71 goals through seven outings, HU boasts the GAC's highest-scoring offense. Andre Cunha leads the team with four goals, while Braeden Grundy and Jason Diaz have supplied the set up with two assists each.
 
In goal, Michael Wasson owns the lowest mark in the league with a 1.46 GAA to go along with a .697 save percentage.
