SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist men's soccer looks to get back to winning ways as they head to Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to face Ouachita Baptist in the first of a two-match Great American Conference road swing this week on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 4 p.m.

The Bison were picked to finish first the GAC when the conference preseason coaches' poll was announced earlier this fall.

Oklahoma Baptist (1-3-1, 0-0 GAC) has the league's second-best offense with an average of 1.60 goals per match, paced by Thiago Dos Santos who ranks second in the GAC with three goals through five outings this season. Martin Romero is second on the team with two goals.

The Bison will need to clamp down on defense after allowing 2.60 goals per match through the first five contests of the season. Parker Lawter owns a 2.33 goals-against average while saving 63.3 percent of shots on goal faced this year.

Ouachita Baptist (2-3, 0-0 GAC) has dropped their last three matches, allowing nine goals over that stretch. Tinashe Chigede has notched a GAC-leading six goals this season on 20 shots. Chigede has accounted for 75 percent of Ouachita's offensive output this season.

Defensively, opponents are earning 16.8 shots and averaging 1.8 goals per match. Edward Pacheco has seen the most action in goal, though Matt Gutierrez has seen a decent amount of time between the sticks as well. Combined, they've posted a .743 save percentage, though Pacheco was responsible for allowing eight of the nine goals scored against the Tigers over the past three matches.
