SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist men's soccer is set to play their third match in five days when they welcome Northeastern State to the OBU Soccer Complex at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the Bison's final home match for the month.
Oklahoma Baptist (1-2-1) suffered a second straight defeat on Saturday and will be looking to rebound against NSU. The Bison are averaging 1.75 goals per match, led by
Thiago Dos Santos with three goals.
Martin Romero is second on the team with two goals, while
Jonathan Martinez and
Alejandro Castillo each have one goal this season.
Parker Lawter has seen most of the action in goal for OBU this season, posting a 1.88 goals-against average and .682 save percentage. Thomas Ackernecht got his first action between the sticks on Saturday night.
Northeastern State (2-3) is riding a two-match win streak after opening 2017 with three straight losses. The RiverHawks have scored five goals, with five different goal-scorers finding the mark this year. Ryan Davis has played nearly every minute in goal this season, owning a .794 save percentage to go along with a 1.43 GAA.
