Bison Sprinters Medal at World Championships

LONDON – Oklahoma Baptist alumni Jura Levy and Mike Rodgers each earned medals Sunday at the 2017 IAAF World Championships.
 
Rodgers ran the first leg of the men's 4x100 meter relay for the United States, helping America claim a silver medal in 37.52. Great Britain took first in the event with a gold medal time of 37.47.
 
Levy was the lead leg of the Jamaican women's 4x100 meter relay. Team Jamaica finished in 42.19 to take home the bronze medal, and the United States won the race in 41.82. Levy also ran the 100-meter dash, finishing 15th with a time of 11.19.
 
Both sprinters had exemplary careers at OBU, combining to set 13 school records in their time on Bison Hill.
