SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist sophomore
Andrew Worley was named to the 2016-17 CoSIDA Academic All-America Division II Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Second Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced Thursday.

Worley is a Bible major from Blackwell, Oklahoma, and owns a 3.88 grade point average. He was a member of the 2017 NCCAA Outdoor and Indoor National Champion teams, and was an All-American at both meets.

The sophomore set a meet record at the NCCAA Outdoor National Championship with 6655 points in the decathlon. Worley was also the 2017 Great American Conference decathlon champion.

CoSIDA Academic All-America selections are chosen from All-District winners, as voted on by CoSIDA members. To be nominated for CoSIDA All-District, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average at his/her current institution.
