SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist concludes its six-game Great American Conference road swing with four games at Southwestern Oklahoma State in Weatherford this weekend.
 
The teams meet Friday for a 3 p.m. doubleheader, followed by a noon Saturday doubleheader.
 
The Lady Bison lead the all-time series with Southwestern Oklahoma State, 38-13. The teams split the head-to-head last season 2-2 at OBU. After a 5-3 win by OBU to open the series, the teams played three one-run games. SWOSU has the last win in the rivalry.
 
Southwestern Oklahoma State is 12-22 on the season with a 6-18 record in the Great American Conference. The Bulldogs come in with a team .278 batting average, led by Kenedi Jackson at .351. Tori Hawk leads the team with four home runs and 25 runs batted in.
 
Southwestern has a team earned run average of 5.40 with Miranda Grover leading the way at 3.73 to go with a 5-1 record. Taya Haney is the strikeouts leader with 37 in 79 innings of work. Haney and Taylor Eaves (2-6, 5.13 ERA) have the most starts in the circle for SWOSU.
 
The Lady Bison enter the series with a 14-20 overall record and a 6-18 mark in GAC contests. OBU hits .265 as a team with Jill Shipman leading with a .327 batting average. Sam Barry has a team-leading six home runs. Freshman Cheyenne Demaree leads the squad with 14 RBI. Shelby Savage and Katie Reyes have a dozen stolen bases each.
 
The team earned run average is 4.81, led by Haylee Zimmerman, who is 7-7 with a 3.86 ERA. Zimmerman leads the team with 12 starts and her three saves is second in the conference.
