SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist hosts Dallas Christian at 6 p.m. Monday to start a six-game home stand.
 
The Bison are 10-0 all-time against Dallas Christian, including a 28-6 win earlier this season in Dallas. The average score in the series is 13-3.
 
The Bison start the week with a 20-12 record after taking getting a road sweep in the weekend series at Northwestern Oklahoma State.
 
OBU bats .303 as a team, led by Brett Berghammer at .367. Josh Timms, who hits .358, leads the team with five home runs. Zane Gelphman is batting .320 with a team-leading 38 runs batted in.
 
OBU carries a team earned run average of 3.25, led by Jace Wilkins out of the bullpen at 1.93. AJ Merkel and Blake Whitehead have been midweek starters. Merkel is 3-2 with a 2.08 ERA and Whitehead carries a 2-0 record to go with a 4.68 ERA.
 
Oklahoma Baptist got a no-hitter from Carson McPherson Friday and a two-hit shutout by Jinny Parra on Saturday. McPherson became the first Bison pitcher to be involved in two no-hitters in the same season. He also was in on the five-pitcher "Johnny Wholestaff" no-hitter against Baker. Parra's win gives him a share of the all-time record for OBU wins at 35. The combination of those two shutouts puts OBU at 17 in their scoreless inning streak. OBU had a scoreless inning streak of 29 earlier this season.
 
OBU doused Dallas Christian 28-6 in February. The Bison had 23 hits, including four hits and five RBI from Joe Moran and five RBI from Josh Timms. Both had home runs. Blake Whitehead picked up the win while AJ Merkel and Brad Adams each pitched a scoreless inning of relief.
 
Weather permitting, the Bison host Bacone in a make-up game Tuesday at 6 p.m.
 
Bacone is 4-31 this season with a 1-14 mark in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
 
OBU is 24-5 all-time against the Warriors and has a seven-game win streak in the series since 2013.
 
Bacone bats .200 as a team, led by Cameron Henderson at .301. Emmanuel Mendez has a team-leading 15 RBIs. The Warriors have three home runs this season.
 
The BU pitching staff has a 9.73 earned run average, led by Tyler Jackson at 2.84.
