SHAWNEE – Joe Moran drove in four runs and Oklahoma Baptist took an 8-3 win to complete a series sweep of Southeastern Oklahoma State Monday.

The Bison set the tone early with five runs in the first inning, including a bases-loaded walk by
Josh Timms, an RBI single by
Hunter Heath and a three-run triple by Moran.

Southeastern cut the lead to 5-2 in the top of the fifth, but OBU got one back in the home half on an RBI single by Moran.

The Bison scored twice more in the sixth with RBI singles by Heath and Timms.

Jinny Parra went six innings, striking out nine batters to move above the 300 mark in career strikeouts. He is now third on the all-time strikeout list at 307.
AJ Merkel recorded a nine-out save.

The Bison collected 11 hits, including three by Heath and two each by Moran, Timms and
Juan Gonzalez.

OBU returns to action against St. Gregory's at Bison Field at Ford Park, Tuesday at 6 p.m., for Senior Night and Strikeout Cancer.
